Hello my name is Ashley Ross. I'm the niece of Lawrence E. Ross. To describe Lawrence would take a lifetime. He is a very positive, energetic, selfless individual. He is definitely a lover NOT a fighter. Taking care of his kids and his family was what he always dreamt of. In 1996, my uncle was falsely convicted of murder. My uncle had a trial due to not complying with the "plea deal". We all know how the "Plea Deal" game goes. He was forced to receive all the negative energy and outcomes of continuing his case to be heard. Why is the system set up like this? His trial was started and the ending decision he was railroaded.  There were plenty statements declaring "evidence" was misplaced during his trial. As a young, black offender he was even sent to one of the hardest prisons in life Lucasville, OH. Talk about changing a person literally that it did. To this day my uncle is still in prison. Currently, he is an inmate at Marion Correctional. My uncle hasn't received any behavioral or non compliance tickets for years now. Is that not being looked at?

How long does rehabilitation take? 21 years really? What type of rehabilitation is it when your innocent? Why can't he have a second chance at life? He did his time. He was wrongfully convicted. Even if the system whole heartly feels he is guilty why is it still so long? There is currently alot of new laws dealing with our Criminal Justice System. So a lot of things on his case were declared under the old law. As days go on I follow many cases and see many different outcomes. No one deserves to be killed in prison. Yes, all inmates need to pay for their behavior. I've seen people actual admit to murder and get only 8 years! What type of nonsense is this? Please help this case be brought back to light and not covered under a rug any longer! PLEASE HELP ME GET THIS STORY HEARD!! PLEASE HELP MY UNCLE GET A SECOND CHANCE AT LIFE! Justice for Lawrence, his 3 kids, and his beloved family.

Thanks,
