Petitioning CHASE BANK Stop Charging a $12 Monthly Fee to Low Income Customers!

Chase Bank has recently implemented a $12 monthly "service fee" to checking accounts that do not receive a direct deposit of $500 or more. According to Chase, the direct deposits "must be an ACH credit, may include payroll, pension or government benefit payments, such as Social Security."
The only other way to avoid this fee is by having "a $1,500 minimum daily balance" or "an average daily balance of $5,000 or more in linked." So, if you're one of the many Americans who has lost their job, is struggling to find work, or has a low income, you are specifically subject to the $12 fee. Chase is undoubtedly making huge profits with this fee, and, as usual, the poor and middle class are footing the bill. When you're living on less than $500 per paycheck, that $12 can really hurt. The fee itself is a direct slap in the face to anyone struggling financially. It's a fee for not having money when you need your money the most.
