On 3rd Febuary (03/02/2021) , the school, "Jayshree Periwal High School" sent the students a messaging informing, that the second semester exams for grade VI to grade XII, are to now be held, not online, but rather through offline school. I think that the exams should be held online, as a lot of the students have senior citizens in their vicinity, and also may have people, suffering corona, as it is proved that it is possible to be infected with the virus, without showing any symptoms. Nor are the children vaccinated and being in crowded environment is highly unsafe.

I also strongly believe, that as the whole session of 2020 to 2021 has been conducted through online means, the sudden change to offline school, is highly uncalled for, and unfair as well. The children are not mentally prepared for such a sudden change.

Another reason why I feel exams should be conducted online, and not offline, is because of transport. A lot of students' parents are busy and working, and may not be able to be find time to drop, and pick up their children to school. Some students may also be out of town, and with the current situation, it might be quite difficult to be able to attend offline exams. The school had already given a well planned schedule for the online exams, and declaring that they are now to be conducted through offline and physical school, is not fair at all.

And yes, the students have to adapt to the new normal, we all have to, and nor can they keep on studying digital, but being hasty is not a good decision. The school definitely must have thought well for the students when discussing this topic, but I think that offline schools should not be conducted yet.We must not hold out heads out in the final stretch. We must proceed with caution, in these matters.

The government has declared that such decisions should be taken with consideration of the Parents and Students, so it is my sincere request that if you agree with any of the points said above, and believe that they should be conducted online, please do sign the petition.
