My name is Peter Barker and I am 21 months old. On 4th September 2020 I was involved in a hit and run traffic collision outside my house on Wycombe Lane in my Daddys car. The car was speeding and failed to stop. Over the past two years Wycombe Lane has seen a huge rise in speeding drivers. Only a few weeks ago a car driving at least 70mph on the same long road with a speed limit of 30mph crashed into The Old Bell Pub and was embedded in the pub chimney with the driver leaving the scene yet again.
The one speed camera on our road is simply not adequate to control the increasing number of speeding vehicles on our long road which is now being used as a ‘race track’.
Wooburn Green is our village. It is my home. There are lots of little children like me who live here. It should not require a child or adult to die for better speed management systems to be put in place.

When I was born 21 months ago I was born dead.
I was resuscitated for four minutes.                           I fought my life before I even entered this world.
I should not have to fight for it again outside my own home before I am even 2 years old.

Please help us to enforce better speed management systems before someone dies... and cannot be resuscitated.
No journey is worth a life.

Thank you for your support

Peter
