Early Federal Prison Release

In 2006 Joshua Rich was sentenced to 57 years in Maximum Security Federal Prison for bank robbery. He didn't shoot the gun and nobody was injured but because of the minimum mandetory laws, he has received this astronomical sentence. The United States Judge said he thought the minimum mandatory laws were unsuitable for Josh's crimes. In 2011, Josh was brutally stabbed by a gang, and was clinically pronounced dead, due to the lack of maximum prison security. He was life-flighted to the hospital where he under-went several surgeries. Since he was not sentenced to death, his sentence should technically be over. He has served 8 of the despairing and unthinkable 57 years. The enviroment terrifies! From our contact with him, we understand that He is placed with men who have committed some of the worse crimes and have received HUGELY lesser prison sentences. We feel that the time that he has served along with life-long health issues he will suffer is time well served for his crime. These include (but are not limited to) chronic kidney disease that will continue to worsen. In a couple years he will need a kidney transplant. He also has P.T.S.D. from the event. The civil court process is so slow that it is now approaching 3 years since he was murdered and nothing has been done! Josh is a good man with a kind heart who got mixed up with the wrong crowd and drugs that would cause even the best of us to reach such desperate measures to feed the costly addiction. We are asking for your support simply to give Josh some quality of life for what life he has left. He is having a book published currently and is determined and committed to helping those suffering from drug addiction should he get a prison release. We sincerely thank you in advance for your support!!
