Many children have been sent to juvy because of things like assault. This is alright, but it is not okay when the kids who don't behave are forced to be sent to isolation. This causes mental health problems that last for a long time. Kids shall not be treated this way! They are young, and one simple mistake does not mean they should be sent to solitary confinement. Many have broken down and are forced to take medication. Some even grow suicidal tendencies, which sends them to a padded cell, or even drive them to end their own lives! Unacceptable! We shall not stand for this torture. If you wish to put them in solitary confinement, only do it for a few days. Some start hallucinating and see strange shadow figures - the kind of ones you would see in a sleep paralysis. Kids may even communicate with these visions! My neighbors have a kid who has to take anti depressants and medication every day. This form of torture to kids may even be worse than sending adults to the "white room," which is an awful place to be. If this continues, we will have to do something about it. I cannot believe the people who are willing to do this! Please, if possible, make sure NO kids are ever forced to endure the horrible torture of isolation.
