Caregivers should be given the same rights as any healthcare worker has.  If another pandemic breaks out, we should be given the shots and boosters just like healthcare workers are.  Some of us care for our loved ones 24/7 and we should be able to get paid for the work we do.  We are uncertified CNAs and we deserve everything they get.  Some of us have given up jobs, families, and other important things to take care of our loved ones.  It's not fair.  We deserve more. 

These are the things we do or go through:

1. Make sure medications are set for them to take.

2.  Cook

3.  Clean

4.  Grocery Shop

5.  Help with showers

6.  Laundry

7.  Help them dress

8.  Pay their bills

9.  Take them to their appointments

10.  Do medical testing at home

11.  Converse with their doctors

12.  Shampoo their hair

13.  Give hair cuts

14.  Help them get to the bathroom

15.  Answer the same questions over and over again

16.  Go to school fulltime

17.  Work regular jobs

18.  Take care of our children and other family members

19.  Paying our own bills

20.  Some of us do not have a life at all

21.  No assistance from family members
