Over the past two and a half years I have watched my favorite club go from one of the best football teams ever, to a mediocre, dreadful team when faced against superior opponents. We have had to watch Lionel Messi, the greatest player of our generation, single handedly cover the fall of this team. The problem begins from the top, with the board of directors, down to the coach Ernesto Valverde. I understand giving the coach two lifelines but we've continued to witness these horrible, predictable, undisciplined decisions from Ernesto Valverde and we're beyond sick and tired as fans. Youth based talent has be disregarded (the likes of Carles Alena, Araujo, Puig, Firpo), but in contrast wasteful players who are aging continue to remain in the lineup week in and week out (Rakitic and Sergio Busquets). The coach has insisted multiple times that he isn't even involved in transfer making decisions which he's been called out for this recently by FC Barcelona loanee, Carles Alena, as that matter being false due to the fact that he informed the coach of his final decision to leave the club earlier in October. Now lets talk about the club directors, its very common that when fans start to retaliate or if there's any glimpse of disatisfaction in performances that the coach will be sacked at any big clubs, however, not only are Barcelona Directors and President Bartomeu continuing to show support in Ernesto Valverde but they also insist he holds his own future; implying that he himself gets to decide if he'll continue or not. Our money is put to waste with these greedy higher ups who are doing nothing but watching as our team is shredded in pieces. I ask all Barcelona fans to stop attending the games at the Camp Nou, revert to watching on television so we raise our dissatisfaction and awareness. How many times has the hashtag #ValverdeOut trend and yet all we get are Barcelona personnel insisting they wont make a decision until the end of the season. This is not how a billion dollar club operates in football, especially a very prestigious one. If a coach isn't bringing in results he is kicked out of the club! I would also like to address comments from our best player Lionel Messi in support of Valverde: Well what do you expect, do you really think any ethical human being will call out their coach? of course not, these comments mean nothing and Messi knows the club is underperforming, the club needs a fresh new spark. Also to add what kind of Coach calls out his midfielder (De Jong red card incident) for making a fair football decision, sacrificing himself to stop an attack, and clearly feeling emotionally hurt by his decision. We're damaging our youth, our agenda, and our team. Please sign this petition so we bring attention to this matter.
