Demand The Jonesboro Sun Retract Homophobic Statements

On Saturday, July 21st, 2012, the Jonesboro Sun printed an opinion from a local citizen who congratulated the Boy Scouts of America for "doing the right thing" by upholding their ban on gay boys and men who wish to participate in the organization. The man stated: "That's why they are called the Boy Scouts of America and not the Queer Scouts of America."

There is a difference between free speech and hate speech. There is a difference between free press and press that promotes hate. This is completely unacceptable and needs to be rectified. Help us demand a retraction from the Jonesboro Sun. They need to know that we do not support or tolerate such blatant ignorance and bigotry.
