Cancel DSEI, the world's biggest arms fair

This is an appeal from people in East London to people all over the world to sign this petition against the threat of another so called “Defence and Security Equipment International” DSEI in 2017.
The truthful word in this title is International. If the DSEI Arms Fair is allowed to go ahead in 2017 then, as in previous years, advanced, deadly weapons for display will be delivered from many countries and Arms Dealers will come from all over the world to buy and sell them.
The DSEI Arms Fair, which claims to be the biggest such event in the world, has been held every 2 years since 2001 at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre which is situated in London, England.
This evil trade is highly profitable to all the companies and individual arms dealers involved. At DSEI Arms Fairs at ExCeL bombs, missiles, drones, tanks and guns as well as “riot control equipment” are sold to regimes that oppress their own people. These weapons can reach both sides in civil wars or countries at war with each other. Delegates from countries that need funds for health services, education and agriculture are persuaded to incur debt to buy “battle tested weapons”.
While profits from the Arms Fair go to many countries, the shame of hosting the DSEI Arms Fair remains in London. The, slaughtered, bereaved, orphaned and maimed victims are all over the world.
The DSEI Arms Fair is organised by a company called Clarion Events which is owned by Providence Equity Company in the USA. This petition is addressed to the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Providence Equity.
EAST LONDON AGAINST ARMS FAIRS appeals to people of goodwill all over the world to sign this petition. Please help us bring it to the attention of people in other countries involved in the export and/or import of weapons.
