The "Nothing Tastes as Good as Skinny Feels" pillow encourages and glamorizes eating disorders, a debilitating mental disorder commonly affecting mostly young girls and women. The pillow encourages people to forgo food, which is the way a person intakes the proper nutrients and fuel to run their body, in exchange for a "skinny" ideal. While it may be meant as a "joke," this phrase it essentially the "mantra" for those who are actively engaged in disordered eating behaviors. As such, this pillow has the potential to be highly triggering, and exacerbates the current conditions of our nation, which, unfortunately, are not conducive to recovery from eating disorders. Especially with today's high prevalence of disordered eating and body distortions among the population, this product in inappropriate, unacceptable, and highly offensive.
