My godson, a sixteen year old child, was stabbed in the chest in a random attack which took place on a sunny afternoon in his local park. The attack resulted in hours of surgery and the loss of part of his lung. He has been left with life changing injuries, both physical and emotional.
Unable to sit his GCSEs, he has been denied his request to the exam boards for special consideration. This is despite intervention from his parents, his MP and his head teacher. His head teacher is willing to offer evidence of his work for the board to review. This will mean that he will be held back for one year, being punished for being the victim of a terrible crime.
The board has provision to award him his certificates in rare and exceptional circumstances but are refusing to do so.
Please sign my petition and help to secure is this child’s future.
