I'd hate to see the art leave the Berkshires.

The art belongs to the community not to be auctioned off to private individuals where it will never be seen again by the public.

The artworks being sold were donations so that many people may enjoy them. Selling these have as premise that the the artwork is theirs alone and not put there in trust for the many art lovers.

The reasoning behind this sale is absolutely bonkers. So you want to "keep the doors open" by selling off that which is bringing people through those open doors in the first place? Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face!

Please do not sell these important works of art in your museum. I have seen the paintings under plan for sale on a visit to the museum last year and feel this sale would be a tragic loss for the people in the area. There are better ways to raise necessary funds.
