As a concerned citizen, I was thinking about how to address the issue of education. 

To me, poverty is always accompanied by lack of education. Why? Children do not have access to basic education because of inequalities that originates in sex, health, and cultural identity (ethnic origin, language, religion). These children lack access to learning that is essential for their intellectual and social development for a reason that they are on the edge of the educational system. Children will likely not attend school and will have a higher dropout rate increased by 2 factors associated with poverty, such as unemployment, illness, and parent illiteracy. Many children from underprivileged families are forced to dropout of school because of health issues brought on by malnutrition or in order to work to support the family. Lack of education is a great contributor to problems in a community. It does not only affect the community, but it also affects our country.

Open access to education is not only an individual right but also a great opportunity for society as a whole. The more people have access to the knowledge and skills provided by education, the greater the chances of progress. It is, therefore, necessary to ensure access to education for everyone. In order to do that, the link between causes of the lack of education and its negative effects must be broken, and the government has the capability to change that.
