If you did not know or just learning today by reading this petition there are 85 units in Cumberland Gardens in Cornwall Ontario that are being evicted due to renovations.

I am calling on the landlord and property manager or Super attendant to only do a few units at once. This will give more time for families to find new homes or time to save up for when they choose to take their unit back after the renovations. 

Over the last little while we have had our member of Parliament   Eric Duncan call out the landlord with no response, we even had the Cornwall mayor call out the landlord and today I am calling out the landlord to be a little more compassionate when it comes to the renovations. 

There is no possible way that the landlord can renovate 85 units at once, there for the landlord can be more compassionate and not greedy. I know that renting properties is a business, but with the shortage of housing this is a greater issue. 

If you agree with this petition and want to see those families get more time let’s work together and let’s put more pressure on the Landlord. As a community we should work together and fight with the tenants.
