There is no skatepark in Johnstown so if you live there and you like skateboarding, scootering (like me) or biking you cant do that without driving to a different skatepark far away. It would be very nice to have a skatepark right by where you live. I love going to skate parks so one in Johnstown would be very fun. Lots of people spend lots of time doing the things they love and lots of people love skateboarding, scootering, and BMXing.

Contrary to popular belief, there are many benefits that may befall are community, should they choose to build a skatepark here. Skateparks add an area for safe recreation for the youth of the area, promote physical and mental health exercise, are cost efficient to build, and can add a cosmetic appeal to an older rundown area of the city.

Also, The myth surrounding skateparks is that they are a breeding ground for crime and other illicit activities. While there will be an occasional “bad seed”, providing designated spaces for positive activities is the best way to curb unlawful behavior among youth. When youth having nothing to do or nowhere to go – that is when they cause trouble.

Also, It can help mental health a lot. Arguably the most important reason for participating in action sports is the fact that it keeps you healthy and physically fit. Finding an activity that gets kids off the couch and keeps them in shape is vital for the youth of this nation, especially in this time of a national health crisis.
