Stop Prescribing Risperdal for Children and Pull For Off-Label Use

Risperdal is a powerful antipsychotic drug that was approved for treatment of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder in adults - yet due to off-label use, it has been prescribed to children, leaving them with disfiguring results.

BACKGROUND:

Risperdal rebalances the Dopamine and Serotonin in the brain. This is intended to decrease aggression and psychotic behavior in schizophrenic or bipolar adults .

The problem is that Risperdal is being prescribed for off-label use to children with ADD, ADHD, and Autism, causing young boys to develop female breasts. Boys as young as 5 years old, when prescribed Risperdal, have developed breasts.

Weight loss and exercise are ineffective in making these breasts disappear. The only way for these young boys to regain their former bodies is surgically.  Surgical removal isn’t an option for everyone though, so some boys are left permanently disfigured.

WHY IT MATTERS:

“Johnson & Johnson created a powerful drug, promoted it illegally to children and the elderly, covered up the side effects and made billions of dollars.” – Steven Brill

Huffington Post published an awe inspiring; in-depth 15-chapter story by reporter Steven Brill entitled “America’s Most Admired Lawbreaker”. This epic shines a light on the deception J&J used surrounding Risperdal.

Learn how Janssen, a subdivision of Johnson & Johnson, was ordered by a Philadelphia jury to pay $70 million in damages to a man who developed breasts at the age of 5 when he was prescribed Risperdal:

Please join us in demanding that Janssen pull this product from off-label use and require that anyone prescribed Risperdal be 18 years of age or older.
