"Every worker matters. We are better than this." Why does this even need to be said, why did this situation occur, and why do people need to stand up for this woman? This is AMERICA, not the Soviet Union! Her treatment in this matter is reprehensible by the federal government. The fact that John's Hopkins will not help her justifies the negative public opinion in Baltimore City regarding the despicable behavior of this institution against vulnerable people and undeserved communities that has carried on for decades.

I would like government to establish long term rules and not penalize folks who did everything legally right and established in the country.

This is my cousins wife, they are newly married, and she was the sole provider in the household. She’s a upstanding citizen who has done a lot of good things at her job and deserves a life here with her family

Shame on Johns Hopkins for home supporting Mahoney-Steel and shame on our State Department for not recognizing the importance of Mahoney-Steel's work.

SDS in chapters all around the country say NO to deportations and detentions of undocumented immigrants! As long as there are deportations and no adequate protections, we'll be fighting back.

Shame on Johns Hopkins! Why would you wait to contact an individual under these circumstances? Surely there’s a violation of contractual obligation. Shame.

What's been done to this Dr, and all immagrants, is unconscionable

Tamsyn Mahoney-Steel was doing the work of two or three people and doing it with exceptional skill and grace. The fact that she lost her visa is deeply distressing; Johns Hopkins University must not compound this injustice by failing to stand with her.
