Petition update

Strong momentum is building against Wicked Campers

Paula Orbea

Apr 6, 2016 — The fight against Wicked Campers and finding them accountable for their degrading and misogynistic slogans - has reached an important point, with strong support from both the public and certain political leaders.
I have been so busy sharing all the Wicked news on the Boycott Wicked Campers Facebook page I run - I neglected to let everyone know here of the latest developments. Apologies.

A fellow activist, Christine King, has secured a meeting with the Queensland Attorney General, Yvette D'Ath on the 7th April. This is a very important meeting as Wicked Campers' home base is in Queensland and is the state where the best effect can be garnered.
A petition from Ms King to Ms D'Ath, the Qld Police Commissioner and the Brisbane Lord Mayor, is currently circulating and needs your signatures to show your support in this important matter.
This petition is MUCH MORE IMPORTANT THAN MINE was because mine was addressed to a person with no integrity, John Webb; a man who reneged on his promise - this is addressed to people who can pave the way for legislation changes.

I have also linked (below) a post I wrote 'Wicked Campers; a test case', which extensively documents the journey of the last 21 months - which includes evidence of the the vans still photographed and sent to this day, and the action that has been taken against them. I hope it inspires you to contact anyone you believe needs to hear about this issue and can possibly help.
Recently New Zealand have taken some great action, including two camp sites saying that regardless of slogan, they will not be allowed entry. Read more in the attached link.
Thank you so much for your ongoing support.
