The stories above speak for themselves. There is no shiny trinket of description, no glorified overacting. There are sad, grieving family members and friends, carrying a casket, mid-ceremony, cast out by someone claiming to be a messenger of god, but a messenger, is not slated to be a God's JUDGMENT , God's disclaimer on what is right and wrong. He is just a man, similar in make to the woman in this casket, but alive, and able to make a difference in the pain of her grieving family, to which he chose to ELEVATE their sadness and add ABANDONMENT and DISHONOR to the tragedy of this woman's sudden passing , based on a characteristic that nobody gathered to honor her, was thinking of, was judging, was considering something that would stick out to them as years past, with her memory in mind. THESE GRIEVING, these, distrought, were thinking of their Daughter, their Mother, their Sister, their friend, an amazing artist, a kind soul, a great love of their life, a great life, taken too soon.
The creation of the VANESSA COLLIER FOUNDATION & GRANT would offer the following to those that have the unfortunate experience of losing one of their loved ones, the way we lost Vanessa.
*Up to $5,000 to apply to services, ceremonies, caskets & gravestones of the deceased.
*Resources of Volunteer Crisis counselors for Immediate Family of the deceased during their time of grief and memorial
*Resources of a Community Network of Volunteers including , but not limited to DAYCARE, HOSPICE, HOUSEKEEPING, & Wake Cooking Services
*Resources of FOODBANKS, DONATION SERVICES, CHARITIES AND MOVING SERVICES
*Community Outreach for Recovery and Support of those left behind
We, the people, in this time of great dishonor to humanity, must come together and create safety, create wellness for the grief stricken, provide security for families and friends of those that pass. We must stand together and show that we are still strong and fighting for this equality that in reality should not have to be A PASSED LAW, that should simply be. We must provide each other with a way to evolve and surpass the darkness that still seeks to hold us back. To give love, where only neglect is shown, be it in a single act as that above, or in various forms of discrimination that all people of this planet are afflicted with.
LET'S STAND TO CREATE A BETTER TOMORROW FOR ALL THE PEOPLE OF THE WORLD.
The loss of a loved one in itself takes all the energy and life you have to survive. Your honoring of those you lose is a sacred thing that nobody should have the right to shame or deny, due to their own personal opinions, when laws have been passed giving rights, that should ALWAYS have been given, to those that have struggled long and hard to ATTAIN those rights. We do not have to be a people that is close knit to be a people that supports each other in times of hardship. THIS KIND OF INDECENCY is what propels hatred and crime in our country. We cannot stand idle and allow even this one act to go unnoticed. We cannot allow the continual discriminations on a small level to go unpunished when so many have been punished for their love of another human being without reason.
WHY SHOULD SOMEONE BE ALLOWED TO DENY A FAMILY A SERVICE TO HONOR THEIR LOVED ONE AT THE EXACT MOMENT THE FUNERAL WAS TO BE HELD..
