On average 60 percent of transgender people avoid using the bathroom to avoid confrontation. Warren Township High school has a high population of students who do not identify as neither male nor female. By adding gender neutral bathrooms to WTHS, this would give those students an opportunity to use the bathroom without experiencing gender dysphoria.

Although I may not identify as neither non-binary nor transgender, I want to be a voice for those who are voiceless

At Warren, there is only one gender neutral bathroom, which is located in the nurse’s office. This prohibits those who are not cisgender from being able to do basic things such as use the restroom or change for gym.

by adding student access to the gender neutral bathrooms, the feeling of gender dysphoria a lot of trans students especially while using the bathrooms will decrease along with the fear of harassment a lot of trans students deal with in the gendered bathrooms

As an advocate and member of the LGBTQ+ community I believe it is very important for trans students safety and comfort to include this option for them

Right now the only gender neutral bathroom almond students have access to is the nurses office which isn’t the most practical especially if you have classes on the other end of the campus
