John McCain Town Hall

0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!

We, the residents of the State of Arizona, hereby petition Congressman John McCain to hold an open forum, in-person town hall within Maricopa County as promptly as possible.  The town hall should take place during the next United States Congress' recess but no later than the May 28th to June 4th recess, during the evening hours of a week day or during the weekend in order to maximize attendance.

His constituents have urgent, time-sensitive questions and concerns they would like to discuss with him in light of recent events which have caused a great deal of concern. These concerns include Russia ties, healthcare, environment, LGBTQ, education, and others. Senator McCain needs to meet with constituents to address these concerns to properly represent us in the United States Congress.

We request that an open forum, in-person town hall be scheduled immediately, in a centralized location within Maricopa County. We suggest Arizona Center for Law and Society at ASU Downtown, or a venue of similar size. We request that the town hall not be theme specific, allowing constituents to bring up any topic, question, or concern. We further request that the majority of the time be allotted to an open mic Q&A (at least 2 hours), allowing any constituent present to ask Senator McCain questions for him to answer directly. We ask that Senator McCain fulfill his congressional duty to properly represent all of his constituents by abiding by this petition.

It is our sincere hope that this petition leads to the Congressman having a greater understanding of what his constituents’ concerns are. Furthermore, we hope that the Congressman makes these town halls a recurring and regular method of engaging with his voters.

This petition will be delivered to the Office of Senator John McCain.
