A television series called Underground was cancelled after the second season. John Legend is the executive producer. He is looking for another network to pick up the show after the current network WGN cancelled the show for debateable reasons. I believe this series is crucial to the education of today’s youth and the lessons this show has to teach are imperative to a better America. Apparently this show cost 5 million an episode to produce, however the ratings do not justify the cost. If the same amount of marketing efforts were invested into the series Underground like the shows Empire, Power, Love & Hip Hop, etc. I believe more people would watch the show simply knowing it is there. A shift in marketing dollars can go a long way.
