Suicide is often overlooked and there is not touching base on the subject most of the time. But yet once someone decides to take their life, finally action is taken. But the thing is, it shouldn't take someone killing themselves for people to realize how serious the issue actually is.
I'm signing because we need to end the stigma. We need to open people's eyes to how their actions & words affect people. We need to enlighten those on how you never know what is going on in other people's lives. I love you Paige, you're in my heart
The day I heard on the announcements at school that a young girl (whom I had never gotten to know), Paige, had taken her life is a day I won't forget. I was shocked- nothing like that had ever happened in my years of being a student in Baldwinsville. I was sad, upset, kind of just at a loss for words, because nobody should ever feel whatever it was that she felt that drove her to end her life.. I wish I had known her, I wish I could've helped, and I think this is a very important subject. This needs to be taken seriously- this shouldn't happen.
Now I am glad that New York State is requiring Mental Health classes in schools soon. And last weekend me and my sister did the stand against suicide walk because me and my sister wanted to do it in order to honor our beloved friend Paige and Paige will always be in my heart
