Anti-homeless and hostile architecture is implemented within cities to prevent homeless people from being able to set up places to sleep or stay. In America, the use of hostile architecture has been increasingly used since the 80s, when the current style of public enforcement started to take place. Bloomington, Indiana has multiple examples of utilizing this type of design in their urban planning, and it needs to be removed in order to create safer spaces for struggling individuals.
