In Spring 2013 Western Connecticut State University started to explore the possibility of building a new police station on campus. Without substantial input from the student population, the University decided to push forward with establishing a new police station with a projected budget of $4,745,000. Over the last several years tuition has been raised by close to 50% and instead of using our tuition and tax dollars to fund more important projects the System and University have decided to build a station which is already two years past the target completion date.
