Urgent action is required by the City of Boroondara (Council) to construct an entrance fence and gate at John August Reserve, Mont Albert Road.

John August Reserve is regularly utilised by dogs and their families. Yesterday afternoon our beloved Trevor came within metres of being hit by a car driving down Mont Albert Road - Trevor was playing ball with other dogs. Trevor running out of the Reserve could have been avoided. I understand many other users of the Reserve have had similar frightening experiences. Perish the thought of small children on bicycles.

The cost to the council and rate payers for the construction of a secure dog-proof entry fence and gate would be minimal.

We ask for your support by signing this petition, which we intend to issue to the Council. Please share with friends and family who use this Reserve and/or understand our concerns.
