Barrier Islands (Johns Island & Wadmalaw Island) is a growing community with minimal places for kids to grow up playing sports. We are looking for a large piece of land for all kids in the community to grow up. The more land the better, please let us know if anyone would like to donate or do a long term lease to own with P.L.A.Y.S. Please sign our petition to support us in our efforts to locate and build our community sports complex that is supported and run by its local community. 

P.L.A.Y.S. (PRODUCING LEADERS in ACADEMICS and YOUTH SPORTS) is looking for land for kids to learn and play team sports, while working with the schools to help student athletes receive help with education away from the school environment. The basic principle is that sports is a reward for good grades. 

Community Goal:
Work with other non-profit organizations to create a after school program for all children in our community. P.L.A.Y.S. wants to build a state of the art sports complex to not only have after school programs, but to offer nightly programs, summer camps, and weekend tournaments. This would be year round program that is 7 days a week.

Community Objectives:
- Build coalition of organizations whose main vision is to support our children in the community.
- Produce Leaders in Academics and Youth Sports 
- Work with County Park Districts to use assets to assist our children in the community. 
- Build a location for our children to grow up outside of school.
