Stop the menace of fake organizations!! If you lose money even before earning anything, isn’t it really painful?

The young job seekers are most vulnerable and fall prey to the misleading advertisements with catchy phrases and end up losing money on false promises.

We all are aware of the present job scenario in India. Enough opportunities are not there for the newly pass outs and this situation is utilized by many fake organizations to make some quick bucks. These fake organizations offer online/ home based jobs through different employment portals with some catchy phrases like “Govt Jobs”, “Metro Rail Jobs” etc. They post advertisements in many platforms, especially to those platforms where anybody can post advertisement free of cost – i.e; you don’t have to pay anything for posting these ads.

One such platforms is, where there are options to post free advertisements also. Those who have registered with any employment website are aware about the notifications they send. In the notifications from you will find, many organizations have shortlisted your CV for final interview and the jobs are mostly home based and online in nature. They will never give you in details about the interview process but will provide a contact number where you have to call yourself to know the details.

As a freelancer, I got in touch with many of them and sent different mails just to find they all are of dubious in nature. Here are few of the sender ids to be careful of - Freelancer.GOV,, These are just a few of them and lot more are there……. see the email ids carefully: . Generally email ids of different government departments’ end with, but here in this case it is!!

All these issues were taken up with Though they promised necessary actions but their reply about the whole issue is quite distressing. They said is a platform between the job provider and job seeker and the job seeker must verify the credentials before associating themselves with any organizations.

This is completely an unethical practice. It is also the duty of the advertising platform to verify the credentials of the advertiser before allowing them to post ads.

There are loopholes in the present laws dealing with advertisements and that’s why all the fake organizations are mushrooming.

Let’s take the pledge to stop circulation of these advertisements and sign a petition to the Honourable Minister of Information & Broadcasting, requesting him to enact stringent laws to deal with the advertisers as well as the promoters/platforms of fake advertisements.
