No to Bank of Ireland cuts to cashier services in Tinahely and wider rural Ireland

We the undersigned demand that the Bank of Ireland reverse it's decision to cut cashier services in Tinahely and numerous branches across rural Ireland. We believe that full banking services are essential to the economic health and vibrancy of these communities.
With virtually no public transport, the community, particularly the elderly will suffer. This will create a safety risk as people will tend to hold more money at home.
Local business people will be forced to travel to the nearest branch offering cashier services. Apart from time lost, safety and security of individuals carrying cash or coin is a major concern. In addition they will have difficulty acquiring insurance to cover these trip with quantities of money.
The Bank's decision is yet another attack on rural communities facing the challenges of isolation.
