Trump signs executive order to advance DAPL and Keystone XL pipelines
Jan 24, 2017 — Today President Trump signed an executive order to advance not only the Dakota Access Pipeline but the Keystone XL Pipeline. We knew this was a possibility, but it’s still hard to swallow that after our tribe spent years fighting both projects, they are closer to being completed than ever before.
We’re holding each other close today, and deciding what our next steps are. Nothing is very certain under this new administration, but we know for sure that we are going to need each and every one of your help. We’ve opened up the petition again, and are continuing to collect signatures. Please help us grow this movement of water protectors by sharing it on social media:

We want to remind people that the Environmental Impact Statement is still in process, and the Department of the Army's Civil Works division will be accepting public comments until February 20th. To affirm our claim that the pipeline poses grave environmental risks, please submit a comment here: http://bit.ly/2jZttfo.
If it felt like we were fighting hard before, our response now has to be even louder, more intentional, and laser-focused on our goal of stopping both these pipelines.
It is our duty to fight for our water and for our people.
