The Key Food on 5th Avenue is a great, reasonably priced store that is vital to so many Gowanus, Boerum Hill and Park Sope residents. Corporate development has already begun to have a negative impact on the residents of this area, and the loss of this store will speed the decline, turning a once thriving residential Brooklyn neighborhood into yet another personality-less series of investment properties. Please don't allow greedy, urban sprawl to remove this invaluable lifeline from our neighborhood.

There are not many affordable super market in Park Slope. It is wrong to take Key Food away from community. It is already hard living in NYC with lower to moderate income. Make food affordable by keeping Key Foood.

Developments like this are making our city unlivable for the working class. Our community relies on this Key Food for healthy affordable food.

Everyone, and I mean Everyone I know shops or has shopped at this Key Food and numerous Brooklyn Residents rely on it's Parking Lot. Since the City of New York does not provide and maintain Municipal Parking Lots, its makes it next to impossible for Families to Food Shop for the week in congested urban neighborhoods

This store is the most affordable large grocery store in the area and its parking lot makes it a good option for people from surrounding neighborhoods. It would be a huge loss to North Slope.

Losing affordable food options leads to higher obesity rates, lower quality of living and even tighter budgets for the already marginalized among us.

Having a truly representative and affordable supermarket in the heart of our neighborhood, not an upscale bodega, is essential to our way of life. Too many people have too little money left after paying their rent and rely on this Key Food grocery store.
