Stop Irresponsible Development on the Willamette River's West Bank.

Over 3 acres of Open Space located on the Willamette River Greenway, was purchased by Homes For Good, formerly HACSA-Housing and Community Services Agency, with a proclamation of building affordable housing on the site.

Homes for Good has since deemed this property an unfit location for affordable/low income housing. Now they want to sell the property to a highly controversial out-of-state developer who proposes to build market-rate (expensive) apartments.

The irresponsible development plan plunders a beloved local asset.  It does not provide housing for our low-income/unhoused neighbors and diminishes current neighborhood livability. Additionally, it would endanger pedestrians, cyclists and motorists with excessive traffic implications, and have detrimental impacts to the Willamette River Greenway.

The Eugene and Lane County communities are urging decision makers to do the right thing.  Say NO to out-of-state developers and pull out of this shady deal immediately.
