Allow Scooter Riders at all City of Phoenix Parks

The City of Phoenix, Parks and Recreations Department has 6 skate parks that are open to the public. It is my understanding that none of the 6 parks will allow scooter riders to ride inside the skate park. At this time, the average scooter rider is between the ages of 8-12 and the kids are being told to ride on the sidewalks. As a parent, we do not feel that this is a safe environment. If the kids were allowed to ride inside the skate park, it is a controlled environment which means that there is less of a chance of something happening to a child, such as getting hit by a car, being kidnapped, etc.
