How many of you enjoyed rollerskating at Memorial Hall as a kid, or even took your kids there. In the 90s, Jim Thorpe skating rink was a place to have fun and socialize during the weekend, and now it sits dormant as a storage area for the town. Sadly, Boro council wants to add yet more office space by converting the beloved rink into office space for the police department. As residents, we all know that the Boro office and pd occupy that nice building right next to the park. With enough signatures and support from locals and visitors alike, council will consider bringing rollerskating back to JT and just improve on their existing office space.While financial details are up in the air, we need a way to bring back indoor family entertainment to our residents and visitors. Let's make this happen!!
