Black Thursday, I'm confused it's supposed to be Black Friday. You guys need to stop jacking up the holidays, I even hate when my families members have to leave for work. Thank goodness I work for a company who sees the importance of letting people spend time with their loved ones. I bet they are at enjoying themselves quite a bit.

I work in customer service and appreciate as well as understand the value of spending time with family as well as working hard, but being a major holiday and one of only 3 geared towards spending time with family, it should be given off, especially if it was in the past.

The people making the decision to keep the mall open should be required to work as well or simply keep it closed and let people enjoy their thanksgiving

If the Board thinks T-Day is so important let them run the store! I am sure they wouldn't agree to that, so why should they expect everyone else to miss family time? Black Friday will still be there!!!

Opening on thanksgiving requires more manpower for police fire and EMS.

Instead of minimal staffing police and fire departments will have to put more personnel on duty to handle traffic, car accidents, and even added crime.

Our first responders will suffer and have to give up more of the precious family time they have.
The average citizen will also loose out.

Municipal and state budgets will bear the burden of paying double or triple time to a full staff instead of a minimal crew of first responders on Thanksgiving due to contract requirements.

This means that taxes will have to be raised to provide the additional staff that will be required to maintain safety and response times on that day.

Retailers can respect our families, our first responders, the wallets of their customers, and our American Ideals by keeping their doors closed on Thanksgiving.
