Keep The HMT System off Logan County Road 10-04
It has came to the attention of many residents in the Rich Creek and Madison Creek communities that the main road going through Rich Creek, county road 10/04, will be given to the Hatfield McCoy trail system. This road gives access to many non-sanctioned trails for those who do not, nor wish to possess a trail pass. In addition, this road has been a stable in the community for years, generations even.
From driving lessons to life lessons, this road has served in the strengthening of the communities it services. Many youth(s) in the community enjoy easy accessibilty to hunting spots passed down from grandfathers to fathers and grandmothers to mothers alike. Others simply enjoy the stress free access of riding all terrain vehicles without the strict regulations of the Hatfield McCoy trail system.
To be quite honest, the residents of Rich Creek, Earling, Madison Creek, Lyburn and many more blazed the trails still utilized and enjoyed by many. It is unethical to restrict access to an area ultimately developed and maintained by the aforementioned communities. The trail system has taken precedence over the very residents of our great state and like our brothers and sisters in Wayne County, we WILL take a stand. Our voice must be heard.
While many support the recreational aspects and revenue the trail systems have brought to the area we, the people of Logan County continue to be pushed out. Please, help us to stand and keep what we all have and continue to enjoy.
