Dear Citizens,

BEACH ROAD/ NASH EXT will go through, BUT the county is picking a MODIFIED MILLIONS MORE $$ option 3.   There is  an attached pic of the proposed option 3.  They have not done a full scope of cost; yet Chesterfield County is picking their own option.  Either way it seems to be an awkward design to be picking unless other powers to be are pulling some strings.

HOW DOES THIS ROAD IMPACT THE AREA?

1) THE OBVIOUS- the Road is like SNAKE river and will take MORE TAX DOLLARS to  build than the others .  ANYONE especially RESIDENTS driving down Nash road and Beach road will have a obvious extended / curved road to navigate.

2) MPH AND SIDEWALKS-  County is Designing the road for 45 mph speed limit and NO SIDEWALKS.  The MPH can be asked to be reduced to 35 MPH!  If money is saved then sidewalks or bike lane could be introduced.

3) DEVELOPMENT- If option 3 proceeds then there will be a huge development backing up to Deerfield Estates.  This will lead to more businesses and more congestion pushing up to the back side of Pampas Drive. Possible in and out traffic using Pampas Drive as a thruway to bypass traffic on the main roads. ( We feel Deerfield Estates should only have an entrance for Deerfield residents and Visitors)

Please be advised that if option 2 is picked a lesser development will proceed due to road placement. LARGE Retail development will bill ELIMINATED due to space / parking if option 2 divides the property.

Also... IF ANYONE HAS ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE DEVELOPMENT OR ROADWAYS WE WILL BE HAPPY TO ANSWER THEM AS WE UNDERSTAND DEERFIELD IS IN THE PROCESS OF SETTING UP A COMMUNITY MEETING WITH TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT ABOUT THIS ISSUE.
