Fixtures, Not Knees - Freedom For Kneecaps in British American Football

The recent rule changes for the 2018 season take away a football player's autonomy to decide whether or not they want their knees protected by an ineffective half inch of foam or not.
We believe that it should be up to the players to decide whether or not they require protection for their already shattered kneecaps, and not an out of touch rules committee who couldn't even tell a bicep band from a base layer. Their movement should not be restricted on the basis of a whimsical law created without consulting the member base.
This will effect the right to self expression of players across all levels of the game, youth, junior, women and senior. Would anybody want to watch a Britball where everybody's knees are covered? Don't be silly.
