Judicial comments like this harm the victim in the case at hand, and every other victim in the country who hears of it. If swift and decisive action isn't taken, then these comments will also harm future victims.

This is an appalling travesty of the legal protection that should be enforced.

Our social structure relys on people in our justice system. If this claim is true, Richard Pithouse should be given a fair investigation and trial if necessary.
If he is found guilty, he should definitely be stood down.

I feel sick .... Bill Heffernan knew that the Institution of the LAW should be included in the terms of reference of the Royal Commission ... WHY !

This magistrates comments are unprofessional and really disgusting. 'Buyers remorse???' This woman is a human being not an item bought in a shop. She claims she was raped, a very serious crime. This magistrate trivialised it.
This magistrates behaviour was insulting to all rape victims. No wonder so many do not report being raped.
This magistrate should be struck off.

There's no use paying for an expensive justice system if it doesn't protect the citizens. People who don't perform should be replaced.

Women should not be blamed for their sexual abuse by another.

Pithouse words look like he is the prosecutor, not the magistrate. Why is it that most magistrates are male? It is obvious that they find it easier to see a man's point of view.

Wow. Just wow. Anyone else would be fired if they pulled that sh*t at work. So intocicated and kicked out of a bar, not even walking or talking. I’d like to see a guy try to have sex in that condition. This is a clear example of how intoxication levels of women and men and the ability to give consent differ.
