Railway Ministry-Name Jamua & Dhanwar Stations as J P Kushwaha & R.L.P Verma Stations
The Issue
Late J. P Kushwaha (1932 - 1999) was a former district president of Bhartiya Janata Party (Girhidih) and Pramukh from jamua area jharkhand and elder brother of Late R.L.P. Verma (1 February 1938 – 15 January 2004) was a former member of Lok Sabha and a leader of Bhartiya Janata Party. He was elected to Lok Sabha from Kodarma in Jharkhand state in India for five terms. During the complete tenure of his five terms in lok sabha he fought for the rights of the people of his area. During the same time both brothers kept trying to bring in the railway line from koderma to girhidih. It was finally in 1999 when finally the project was passed by the then parliament under the leadership of former PM Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee and the foundation for it was laid down in koderma.
It was a sad thing that this big fight for people was ignored by the Railways department and neither the present MLA of gandey Prof Jai Prakash Verma son of Late J.P Kushwaha was invited for the inauguration of Navadih to kowad rail line nor any other family members from the kushwaha family was invited for it. After 15 years when the dream of both the brothers came to see its light on 09-08-2015 all these things seems like an attempt by railways to remove the name of these great leaders from the history and minds of the local people around. i here will appeal from the people to come forward and support our cause and name the Jamua Railway station as J.P Kushwaha Railway station and Dhanwar railway station as R.L.P Verma railway station as a tribute to the hero's who always fought for the rights of there people in there area.
