Refund my mother's airfare!

I recently graduated from Harvard University a few weeks ago. I am an only child and very close with my mother. Right before boarding a flight from Los Angeles to Boston, MA., my mother began to hemorrhage. She was taken away in an ambulance and was not able to attend her only child's graduation. She was publicly humiliated durging the ordeal and now this huge corporation - Jet Blue Airways- is refusing to refund my mother. They are saying she flew to Boston. That is a disappointing misnomer! We have ample proof that this assertion is unfounded. We went through the formal process of filing a complaint with Jet Blue and that was unhelpful.

My concern is, why is Jet Blue forcing my mother and I to fight so hard for money this large corporation does not need? My mother is a disabled veteran, on a fixed income and this battle is taking an emotional toll on her. My mother is also a diabetic, which means her health is at risk. She is forced to relive one of the most painful moments of her life each time Jet Blue derails or emotionally bullies her. I left my mother in tears this morning because her bank refunded the money, but Jet Blue did not comply on their end because they are holding steadfast to the notion that she traveled to Boston, so the money was taken away. Is it fair for airlines to keep your money at all costs? Customer service in this country is non-existent, capitol reigns over and above ethical responsibilities to the very customers that keep them in business. Please help my mother and I fight this major corporation. Enough is enough!
