Currently, travelers living in Florida seeking to visit family or tour in Dominican Republic must travel to Orlando (for Santo Domingo) or Miami (for Santiago). Considering how close Florida is to Dominican Republic, a two hr trip increases to 5 or 6 (flight alone) and it is unnecessary. There should be a direct flight from Tampa considering how many people from Dominican Republic live there and how popular the Tampa International Airport is.
Adding a direct flight from Tampa to Santiago traveling at least once a week, would make a huge difference and will increase travel between Florida and Dominican Republic. Thank you for your time and consideration.
