The Illinois Department of Motor Vehicles has been completely closed since early March of 2020 with June 1st as the earliest possible date of opening.  Please allow Illinois residence to forgo the field test portion of their license exam if they are in good standing and have completed 55 hours of driving.  We do not know when these tests will be safe to complete and the number of people waiting to complete the field test will overwhelm the system once they open.
