Dear Jersey college,

Nursing school is stressful. It is even more stressful when we don’t know our grade status, when we are left in the dark only to wait with anxiety, did you pass? Did you fail? And the uncertainty of when we will be contacted with our grade.

Why not make the system more efficient? Why not make our grade more accessible throughout the program to alleviate some of the stress? We use the canvas system for so many stuff throughout each course, so let’s use it for grade access as well. 

Not only is full access to our grades our rights, it will benefit the school and instructors as well. No more hundreds of emails, no more voice messages and calls trying to find out our grades. The way we see this is a win win. Less stress for students and faculty = better grades and better reputation for Jersey College.

Jersey college says they are the most student based oriented school around, I hear it every day from the faculty. We all share one goal, to become amazing competent nurses that represents the goal of Jersey College. We are not looking for an overnight immediate fix. We are looking for a system that will lessen our stress, keep us in the loop, and better communication between faculty and students. Help us change the system for us, the future students and for the faculty.
