Extend Lunch Time at Saratoga High School

After a new schedule change at Saratoga High, Lunch was decreased from 40 minutes to 35 minutes. Due to this change, students have significantly less time to drive off campus to get food. This shortening of Lunch has resulted in many students speeding to get back to class on time, causing dangerous situations for both students and civilians. Many students have received speeding tickets during their effort to get back to campus on time. We, as students, believe it would be a much safer and enjoyable process if we have that extra 5 minutes as a buffer from being late to class. A solution to this would be adding 5 minutes to lunch as well as 5 minutes to the end of every school day, in order not to impede on the educational time of the day. I personally have almost been hit by students rushing back to class, and increasing lunch time will prevent future problems for students.
