As part of the Corporation’s remit of being seen to be fair and balanced in their political reporting, the BBC should not be allowed to repeat the views of the national Press in their reviews or discussions of the daily papers, whether it be on radio or television.
The national daily newspapers operate with their own political agendas and the owners of daily newspapers should not be given the opportunity of having their views and opinions freely repeated on the BBC, for example on Radio 4’s The Today Programme and the BBC News Channel’s reviews of the papers.
