The citizen"s of Glasgow face a £500 million bill to settle Equal pay claims due to Labour"s financial mismanagement of Glasgow City Council by not paying equal pay . For over 10 years the then Labour run Glasgow Council fought against the justified equal pay claims of staff. Frank McAveety was in charge of Glasgow till May 2017 he and his predecessors were responsible for the decisions to fight the justified equal pay claims in court of over 10000 mostly low paid female workers costing the city millions in legal fees . Frank and Labour while in charge of council did not put a single penny aside to settle equal pay claims. Glasgow now faces a £500 million black hole to its finances. Frank McAveety now leads the opposition in Glasgow council and the people of Glasgow and the staff who were denied equal pay by Labour deserve an Apology from him and Labour for their actions on Equal pay while in charge of Glasgow City Council
