Susan Markham started this petition to Jeremy Corbyn (Leader of Labour Party) and

As citizens, we are constantly told that there are cuts needed on the NHS, schools, police and other public services. When watching debates in the House of Commons, on some matters many of the politicians don't bother turning up or are seen to be sleeping on the job. When they are there for matters that affect them, it is a disgusting display of animals shouting, booing, and laughing at one another. If any working class employee were to act this way they would be fired on the spot. Why should the MPs get a free pass just because they make the rules?

There are 650 MPs in the UK all earning around £70k a year if not far more (according to sites such as the BBC). That's over £4.5million on MPs alone, not taking into account that dozens of those MPs will actually be earning a much larger salary. This is a substantial amount of money, and considering these people had the idea of making cuts to public services, I'm sure there would be no issues with making cuts within the Government itself. After all, it was their idea in the first place.

With these cuts we could put the money back into services such as those mentioned earlier (schools, NHS, police and so on) or perhaps put some of the money into helping adults and children living in poverty in the UK.
