PETITION: Schine Theatre, MAKE ARTS COUNCIL TRANSPARENT 2018

Who would like to see a "Town Hall Forum" with the Arts Council and the public? The current lack of answers has left the public with feelings of suspicion, and a member of the Arts Council agreed that respectful communication could quell those concerns, however has not responded to a poll that showed popular support for this type of forum. A meeting with one rule; maintain due respect or be asked to leave. Any question may be asked.  I think we should do this and post the video on local Facebook pages.  SO, YES, or NO?

The stance that I feel is right is that if the public is going to fund a project, the public should at least have a right to see the legitimate progress.  For each $10k spent, there should be a requirement that the building is open to the local press for “x” amount of time.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, A MAJOR SOURCE OF DISTRIST COMES FROM  A NEW OWNER THAT THE NONPROFIT ARTS COUNCIL SOLD THE BUILDING TO FOR $15K.  IT IS A NEWLY FORMED CORPORATION AND WE DONT KNOW WHO THE STAKE HOLDERS WERE, OR WHY THEY WERE THE MOST QUALIFIED BIDDER.
